Nonprofit leaders are available to speak with press to share insight about April 8 meeting and effort
(Washington, DC, April 8, 2021) – Top White House public engagement and economic officials met with a diverse group of national nonprofit leaders April 8 to discuss the American Rescue Plan Act, the American Jobs Plan, and the need for a partnership between the U.S. government and the nation’s 1.5 million nonprofit organizations. The virtual meeting, part of ongoing Independent Sector engagement with the White House, illustrates the important leadership and community-building role nonprofits play at the federal policy level and the trust they have with residents in communities nationwide. Independent Sector appreciates the White House openness to this convening, which also involved Independent Sector members and the Nonprofit Infrastructure Investment Advocacy Group (NIIAG).
