Public Charities and Foundations Benefit South Carolina Communities

Deliver vital community services
United Way of Greenville County is working to build a Cycle of
Success where all children start school prepared to learn and
go on to graduate, well-educated graduates find good jobs and
create stable homes, and children from stable homes continue
the cycle because they start school prepared to learn. In 2018,
more than 100,000 people benefited from these programs and
initiatives.

Advance solutions for challenges facing society
Based in Summerville, International Primate Protection League
is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting
the world’s remaining primates, great and small. IPPL is home
to a sanctuary for gibbons (the smallest of the apes) in South
Carolina and supports primate rescue efforts worldwide,
especially in countries where primates are native.

Contribute to vibrant communities
The Columbia Museum of Art in South Carolina, a member of the
Association of Art Museum Directors, is a nationally recognized
museum that boasts a variety of educational programs for schools,
families, and children in South Carolina.

Advance solutions for challenges facing society
Together SC is South Carolina’s only organization focused solely on
supporting and strengthening the state’s nonprofit community
through education, advocacy, communications, collaboration and
leadership. Comprised of 700+ members representing nonprofit
organizations, business partners, associations, foundations,
government agencies and academic institutions, Together SC
believes the world will be a better place when all people work
together for good.
