Public Charities and Foundations Benefit Nevada Communities

Deliver vital community services
The United Way of Southern Nevada has a strong focus on financial stability. They run a “Piggy Bank” program at local elementary schools to encourage kids to begin saving habits that has helped 1,700 kids. They also help families with free tax preparation and financial training. Since 2010, 26,000 people have received free tax preparation and have obtained over $20 million in tax credits and $35 million in tax refunds.

Contribute to vibrant communities
In addition to its full slate of professional performances, Nevada Ballet Theatre provides free in-school dance classes via its Future Dance program and other educational initiatives directed toward students in Clark County schools. Future Dance brings the joys of dance to 4,000 youths in underserved communities each year.

Advance solutions for challenges facing society
The Nature Conservancy in Nevada counts among its major accomplishments the preservation of 13,320 acres, more than 20 indigenous plant and animal species, and 12 major spring systems within the historic Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.
