Independent Sector President and CEO Dan Cardinali discussed the scope of the nonprofit sector on Business of Giving, a radio show hosted by Denver Frederick that airs Sunday nights on AM 970 The Answer in New York City. Frederick’s show is the only one of its kind that focuses on solutions to today’s complex social problems.
In addition to conceptualizing the size and reach of the sector, Cardinali reflects on Independent Sector’s role in supporting the sector’s effectiveness and sustainability in a changing environment.
Some of the questions Frederick asked Cardinali about nonprofit effectiveness hit on complicated and often controversial topics like nonprofit consolidation, the cost of operating, and how the nonprofit sector is adapting to the growing variety of social impact models outside of the typical government and nonprofit.
