Independent Sector Shares Initial 2025 Tax Policy Agenda with Capitol Hill
On October 15, Independent Sector President and CEO, Dr. Akilah Watkins, wrote to tax committee leadership on Capitol Hill, noting the importance of 2025 for tax legislation and the critical role of the nonprofit sector. These policies cover charitable giving, tax credit fairness for nonprofit employers, advocacy and elections rules for nonprofits, stopping bad actors from committing abuses, and more.
