Rebecca Vucic is the associate of advocacy strategy and mobilization. She started at Independent Sector in September of 2012 and is a “Jackie-of-all-trades” in the public policy department. Becca is passionate about the environment, which began when she was a Daisy Girl Scout and learned the Girl Scout law to “use resources wisely.” Her favorite book is Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson. Becca is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, “bleeds black and gold,” and is a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. She and her husband live in Arlington with their two twin girls, Abigail and Eliza, and their cat, Tango.
