Chelsea Newhouse is the Communications Associate for the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies. Chelsea joined the Center in 2008. She currently manages the Center’s Nonprofit Economic Data Project, Nonprofit Works Interactive Database, and Philanthropication thru Privatization (PtP) Project, and oversees all aspects of Center communications. She also works closely with Center Director Lester Salamon on the international UN TSE Sector Handbook, Comparative Nonprofit Sector, and Global Volunteer Measurement Projects, and previously coordinated the Listening Post Project, the New Frontiers of Philanthropy Project, and the International Fellows in Philanthropy Program. In addition to her work at the Center, Chelsea has served as a consultant with the East-West Management Institute and Maryland Nonprofits, chairing the latter’s Quality of Life data subcommittee.
