We are asking you to join us! The IS community is especially positioned to help drive this goal and to increase vaccination access and acceptance rates. The month-long campaign will kick off on June 4 with events across the country.
As a partner organization in the next month, you agree to organize outreach to your specific communities and constituents to provide vaccine information, increase access, continue shifting the narrative, and ensure an equitable end to this pandemic. HHS has put together a guide to help Community-Based Organizations navigate state funding opportunities. The document identifies the appropriate person to reach out to in every state.
Additionally, the White House also announced $250 million to support two funding opportunities for community-based organizations to hire and mobilize community outreach workers in an effort to get more people vaccinated. The funds are available through the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.
