Sean serves as the Innovation Lead for Accenture’s Health Public Service Nonprofit practice, applying Accenture’s leading Innovation Architecture – from Design Thinking to Digital – to nonprofit-specific and broader societal challenges.
Previously, Sean was the global Strategy & Innovation Lead for Accenture Corporate Citizenship where he led Accenture’s strategy for Accenture’s corporate responsibility and social innovation. This included engaging Accenture’s people, capabilities, clients and ecosystem throughout to drive positive impact in society.
Mr. Burke took on this role after helping lead the launch, growth and operations of Accenture’s Nonprofit Practice, which offers Accenture’s full services and offerings to nonprofit organizations, which has since served over 100 clients globally. As part of this growth, Sean served as the Industry & Strategy Lead for Accenture’s International Public Sector practice. As Lead, he oversaw Accenture’s global work with multilateral development organizations, including the United Nations, World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, and Inter-American Development Bank Group.
Mr. Burke has also helped launch or serves as an advisor to range of cross-sector partnerships, including Solutions for Youth Employment, Tent Partnership for Refugees, Americas Business Dialogue, Grow Africa, and Sustainable Energy for All. Mr. Burke serves on numerous Advisory Boards or Corporate Councils, including UN Global Compact Expert Network, Save the Children, NetImpact, Restoration Immigration Legal Aid and the Anglican Relief and Development Fund.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and American Studies, Cum Laude, from Cornell University. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and four children.
