Rebecca Vucic is the former manager of advocacy at Independent Sector. She joined the IS team in 2012 and is considered a “Jackie-of-all-trades” in the public policy department. Becca has many passions, but one of her biggest is around voting and civic engagement. She believes that society functions best when everyone uses their voice. Her favorite book is Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson. Becca is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, “bleeds black and gold,” and is a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. She and her husband live in Arlington with their twin girls, Abigail and Eliza, and their cat, Tango.
