Nitika Nautiyal is the co founder of Business Services Collective (BSC), a non profit creating resources for builders, through a community. BSC’s vision is to reduce the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurship with a focus on the construction industry. However, the BIPOC construction firms are not the only builders BSC works with, it considers the community partners, funders and the team it works with, as builders too.
Nitika’s primary role as the chief strategy and development officer at BSC is to seek, forge and nurture partnerships with other community based organizations within the small business eco system to create end to end solutions for BIPOC firms.
Prior to BSC, Nitika’s work experience in community development ranges from supplier diversity, anchor institution led place based economic development, financial inclusion and small business lending. Why Nitika does what she does is because she thinks that poverty and income inequality are at the root of most injustices and she believes that entrepreneurship can help solve some of these inequities.
