Nina Ford

Nina Ford is the Director of Strategic Communications and Public Relations at Independent Sector. In this role, Nina is responsible for the organization’s communications strategy, media relations, and various editorial projects. Nina has more than a decade of experience in nonprofit and philanthropic communications, storytelling, and digital engagement focused on equity and social justice. Before joining Independent Sector in 2023, Nina was the Director of Communications and Marketing at Global Fund for Children. She previously served as a Communications Officer at Equimundo (formerly Promundo-US) and taught English at an elementary school in Madrid. Nina holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and in international relations from Tufts University. She is also fluent in Spanish.
