Iyana Moore is a highly experienced entrepreneurial and creative communications professional, boasting over 10 years of expertise in public relations, strategic communications, and marketing. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a variety of international, national, and local organizations and community partners, including McDonald’s, The Office of Mayor Muriel Bowser, KABOOM!, Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation, Archewell Foundation, and the City of Uvalde, to develop powerful messaging and effective communication strategies in support of their mission-driven work. She is also the Owner and Principal Consultant of The Digital Media Studio, a digital communications firm that specializes in social media, content creation, and brand positioning. Past clients of her firm include Phoenix International School of the Arts, Future Business Leaders of America, and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Beyond her work in the communications field, Iyana is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, having earned national recognition for her initiatives supporting the District of Columbia’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation, where she served as Diversity and Inclusion Chair and Vice Chair. She has also served as Communications Director for AIGA DC, the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. In addition, as a member of the Maryland Recreation and Parks Association, and through her employment with The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County, Iyana was a cohort of the Ritch Stevenson Leadership Institute Class of 2021.
Iyana holds a bachelor’s degree in business communication from Stevenson University and a master’s degree in organizational communications from Bowie State University. She is also a Certified Project Management Professional, possessing a diverse range of skills and expertise that enable her to excel in her field.
