Twenty-five years in the media business followed by nearly 10 years running a large commercial real estate services firm prepared Doug Bolton for the challenge and the most fulfilling task yet of rebuilding volunteer ecosystems. Doug is CEO of Cincinnati Cares, created three years to reverse the twice-the-national-rate-of-decline in volunteerism being experienced in Cincinnati. Now, Cincinnati has gone from worst among its peers to best, utilizing innovative emerging technologies to help volunteers find their way to help. Now with COVID-19, the rebuilding has to start again. And yet more innovation from the organization Doug helps lead is providing communities all across the country with the ability to capture data, collect stories and connect people to giving and volunteering so they can take action.
