Derek is Database Manager at Independent Sector. He is responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of Independent Sector’s data infrastructure through CRM integrations, SQL database administration, and reporting solutions across the organization.
With over 8 years of experience in CRM management and data analytics, Derek specializes in everything database management, from integrations, coding, and database accuracy to project management, user acceptance testing, process optimization, AI and automations. Derek has served as the all-around lead on CRM and data analytics for organizations such as Genova Diagnostics, Intuit, as well as freelance opportunities.
Derek received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jame Madison University (JMU). When not working, Derek enjoys learning more about AI, golfing, bowling, and trying anything new that makes him initially uncomfortable. “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
