Debra Rainey is Manager, Communications, at Independent Sector. As a skilled writer and editor, she works on a wide variety of initiatives on the Engagement and Communications (EnCom) team, including serving as managing editor of the Upswell blog, contributing editor for Common Good(s) and Voices for Good, and co-host of the Upswell podcast. She also has extensive experience on the Independent Sector resource development team and has served in a number of key internal and corporate communications positions at Fannie Mae, Pepco, and the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation.
