Cheon Lee is a PhD candidate in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark. His research focuses on nonprofit financial management and nonprofits in civil society and democracy. He is particularly interested in nonprofit commercialization and nonprofits’ role in fostering political participation of citizens. He is currently looking at how message framing can influence citizens’ response toward nonprofit commercialization. Before coming to the U.S., he served as a military officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force working closely with global defense companies and the U.S. military.
