Chelsea Taylor is Government Relations Intern at Independent Sector. She supports the tracking of policy developments on Capitol Hill, conducts research on key legislative issues, and assists in the production and preparation of advocacy materials.
Previously, Chelsea worked for the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area as a program assistant for the association’s Global Classroom-DC department, curating globally focused educational materials for schools within the Washington, DC metropolitan area and developing advocacy resources. Prior to UNA-NCA, Chelsea worked as a business and proposal intern at International Development Group, LLC. Chelsea earned a Master of Arts degree in International Development, with a focus on Human and Gender rights, from American University in May 2025. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Stony Brook University, where she focused on Global Affairs. When not working, Chelsea enjoys traveling to new countries and discovering new books along the way.
