Abby is the Manager of Foundation Relations at Independent Sector. She supports IS’ fundraising efforts with a specific focus on foundation prospecting, stewardship, and engagement. Abby brings a deep understanding of nonprofit management and development, and enjoys building systems that better integrate program, finance, and fundraising needs.
Previously, Abby served as Senior Development Manager at AsylumWorks, where she managed the organization’s revenue strategy, grant portfolio, and donor relations. Prior to AsylumWorks, Abby supported democracy and economic resilience projects in Latin America at the Center for International Private Enterprise. She has also contributed research and grant support to the Institute for International Economic Policy, Strategies for International Development, and Global Financial Integrity.
Abby holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University, with concentrations in international development and economics.
In her spare time, Abby can be found in a dance studio, skiing down or hiking up a mountain (any season will do), exploring DC’s restaurants, or cheering on the Washington Spirit at Audi Field.
