Recent news would have you believing that civility does not exist in the United States anymore. Now more than ever, we need to have a conversation about what it means to have a society that encourages healthy debate while striving to improve lives and the natural world.
That’s why Independent Sector has launched Civil Renewal, a new podcast about the role, meaning, and future of civil society. Hosted by Independent Sector President and CEO Dan Cardinali, the podcast will feature a diverse set of sector leaders and practitioners in conversation about the important role civil society plays in our country and around the world.
Specifically, the podcast will address the major themes and ideas brought up in our new thought leadership series, Civil Society for the 21st Century, launched by Independent Sector and Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR).
In the first episode of Civil Renewal, Dan speaks with Eric Nee, managing editor of SSIR, about the article series and the adaptive challenges we all need to meet for a healthy and strong civil society.
Civil Renewal is available today for download on Apple Podcasts and Google Play. Listen to the first episode below:
