What now? That’s the question we must answer — as humans, as changemakers, as a nation. It’s not enough to simply acknowledge our current historical moment. This isn’t an opportunity to be seized or squandered. We have a nonnegotiable mandate to leverage every ounce of energy, empathy, intelligence, and power we can muster to forge an equitable United States.
The third Upswell Pop-Up will explore critical factors in achieving that goal. We’ll be in dialogue with chief equity officers from the cities of Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. We’ll consider how to find resilience in the face of national trauma. We’ll learn with Angela Glover Blackwell, one of the nation’s preeminent experts on the intersection of race and public policy. And we’ll find new ways of advancing our missions and our capacity to lead for good.
