Janine Lee Mentorship Award
All great charitable sector leaders have one thing in common — a trusted advisor, role model, and champion with a vested interest in their professional growth and leadership development.
Janine Lee, president and CEO of Independent Sector Member Philanthropy Southeast before passing unexpectedly in February 2024, was an empathetic and sage advisor to many prominent charitable sector leaders.
To celebrate Janine’s life and career that spanned more than 30 years, Independent Sector is announcing a new award named in her honor. The Janine Lee Mentorship Award will be presented annually to a mentor leader who embodies the ideals and commitment to the next generation of leaders she exemplified throughout her life.

Congratulations to Our 2025 Winner: Regina G. Jackson
