We are excited to announce the Public Policy Fellows Council, which includes three distinguished professionals who will share their expertise and experience to help shape and advance the organization’s public policy agenda.
The three members of the Council are:
- Jeremie Greer, Vice President of Policy and Research, Prosperity Now
- Harold Hancock, Partner, McGuireWoods
- Cindy M. Lott, Senior Lecturer and Academic Program Director for Nonprofit Management Programs at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies
These Policy Fellows will use IS’ platform to conduct research, engage other leaders and practitioners, and disseminate original work to the charitable sector.
“We are thrilled to welcome such an impressive group of Policy Fellows to the organization,” said Daniel J. Cardinali, president and CEO of Independent Sector, said in a press release today. “This is all about bringing thought leadership from the outside in – and using that expertise to inform our policy agenda and extend its reach. That helps us to more effectively serve all charitable organizations that are working toward advancing the common good.”
The Policy Fellows’ term on the Council will run through May 2020. Additional Fellows will be added at a later date. The Policy Fellows will meet quarterly and are expected attend Independent Sector’s annual gathering, Upswell, on November 14-16 in Los Angeles.
