Dr. Maureen Emerson Feit is Director and Assistant Professor of Nonprofit Leadership at Seattle University. She studies the link between community-based nonprofit organizations, race, citizenship, and democracy. Her most recent article, “Tightrope of advocacy: Critical race methods as a lens on nonprofit mediation between fear and trust in the US Census,” was recently published in Administrative Theory & Praxis. She has also published on the intersection of race and gender equity in nonprofit management education. She currently serves on the leadership of the Critical Perspectives Interest Group and the Undergraduate Diversity Scholars Committee with ARNOVA and is a former board member of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council. She received her MA and PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
