Christina McWilson Thomas currently serves as the Director of Government Relations for the American Red Cross. Christina has years of experience working in nonprofits, the federal government and for Congress. At the Red Cross, she focuses on tax and charitable giving policy, state regulations and legislation, and national partnerships.
Previously, Christina worked for the American Dental Education Association and the U.S. Library of Congress, Congressional Research Services. She also spent over a decade working as a legislative counsel in the U.S. House of Representatives for four Members of Congress.
Christina is a first-generation American who believes in service before self. She is married to a fellow Red Cross employee who is also a retired U.S. Marine, and both her daughter who is a United States Marine and her son who is in college, are active Red Cross volunteers. Christina is a graduate of Howard University and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University.
