Brenna Stroup is the associate for public policy and membership engagement at Independent Sector. In this role, she educates Capitol Hill staffers and IS members about policies that affect the charitable sector. Previously, Brenna was a production assistant at Gelman, Rosenberg, and Freedman, and served as a legislative intern with both U.S. Senator Patty Murray, and the Senate Committee on the Budget. Brenna has a bachelor’s degree in political science and women’s studies from Washington State University. She lives in the District, and enjoys going to concerts, checking out the latest pizza joint, and trying to persuade her partner that they need to have a dog in their life.
