Mareeha Niaz is the manager of programs and leadership development at Independent Sector. In this role, she maintains a broad portfolio of initiatives and committees throughout the organization. Her programmatic work encompasses ethics and accountability, racial equity, and leadership development including the American Express NGen Program and Innovate for Good Challenge. She serves on several cross-functional teams to support program design, including incorporating Results Count and Lean Impact frameworks into our project management, and advocates on behalf of the sector on Capitol Hill. Previously, Mareeha served for three years at the Embassy of Pakistan where she managed a department under the diplomatic wing working to meet the needs of the American-Pakistani population. Mareeha currently serves on the board of Common Good City Farm in Washington DC. You can find her in DC cooking, gardening, and volunteering.
