Lindsay Torrico is the Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy at United Way Worldwide. In this role, Lindsay fights to improve education, increase job opportunities and empower individuals to be active and engaged members in their communities. Previously, she worked as a Legislative Correspondent and Aide for Senator John Kerry, where she spearheaded legislation to provide stable housing to youth who are aging out of foster care. She also worked in social policy positions at the local level, including City Year-Los Angeles and the office of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Lindsay serves on the Board of Trustees of the Convergence Center of Policy Resolution and the is the Board Chair of Nonprofit VOTE. Lindsay holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia, and a Masters in Public Policy with a concentration in Urban and Social Policy from the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA).
